Stretch Goal Content: Plague Knight Update!

The pedal is to the proverbial metal on Plague Knight! We are working full time on update content (Plague Knight, Body Swap Mode, and Battle Mode!), and it's shaping up to be amazing. The Plague Knight campaign will be the first content released, and it's feeling like a whole new adventure already! A new relic system! New characters and bosses! Remixed content! On that subject, we're going to share a little detail. Mona, who runs the potion minigame in the village, will have a vastly expanded role.... Here is a peek at the design process so far!

The time is near! We've been toiling away on our stretch goal content... and the first release will soon be upon us with Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows! Read on for all the details!

Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows



In this adventure, you play as Plague Knight, the villainous master of alchemy, in a quest all his own. Using his maniacal scientific mind, Plague Knight is seeking to concoct Serum Supernus, the Ultimate Potion. However, to retrieve these ingredients, he must extract them from his former allies... the villainous knights of the Order of No Quarter! World class platforming, music, storytelling, and art all return in Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows; an explosive quest with a new play style, new story, new bosses, and more!

Enough about new content... we've got some serious fever... Spring Fever that is! Shovel Knight is bound for PS3, PS4, and PS Vita on April 21st as part of Sony's Spring Fever campaign! The core of Shovel Knight's quest has remained faithfully intact in its journey, and we've peppered in some fun new additions like PSVita Back touch, PS4 Light bar excitment, Cross-Save, and Cross-Buy!! That's right, Shovel Knight on Sony will have Cross-Buy over all 3 platforms. You asked, and we delivered! Whether you're taking up the adventure for the first time or trying it out on your preferred Sony system — we hope you enjoy the game! Don't forget the Sony version includes a surprise clash with God of Wars' Kratos himself...and we have to say it's pretty freaking outrageous and fun!



Shovel Knight Plush - Available Soon!

Shovel Knight can now stand guard over your desk, shelf, bookcase, or wherever else treasure and adventure can be found! The paragon of shovelry himself will be available for pre-purchase tomorrow thanks to our friends at WeLoveFine. Plushie armor might not provide the best defense, but it boosts charisma right through the roof! These are too cute to leave at home so we'll be bringing them along to our PAX booth too!
