CitationCastlevania Movie Confirmed By Cast Member Michael Dorn

"Resident Evil" film director Paul W.S. Anderson might have said he wants to helm a Castlevania movie, but according to the man who played Lt. Worf on "Star Trek: The Next Generation," someone may have beaten him to it.

Actor Michael Dorn confirmed on a recent episode of the Nerdist podcast and in an interview at StarTrek.com that a Castlevania movie is in the works.

The most recent confirmation came from the Nerdist network's popular podcast with host Chris Hardwick. The two were talking about trying to get a decent vegan meal while filming on the road when Dorn noted he's currently in the middle of filming the new Castlevania movie, a bit of news that sent Hardwick into a full-on gaming geek orgasm.
Dorn's StarTrek.com interview elaborated a little more on his character and how he got involved with the project. His August interview with the official "Star Trek" website said that fellow "ST:TNG" cast member Marina Sirtis, the actress who played Counselor Deanna Troi, brought him on board the video game adaptation.

"It's a fun little part. It's four days and I'm playing a werewolf that's been around for a gajillion years who works for this vampire," he told StarTrek.com. "It's not too far from Worf because there's a lot of killing and jumping and sword fights and everything."
